B.Sc. – Cardiovascular Technology (Skill Partner Apollo)
About the Department
The Bachelor of Cardiovascular Technology program at Dr. RVR NRI Institute of Technology Deemed University is dedicated to advancing education, clinical training, and research in cardiovascular sciences and diagnostic technologies along with the skill partner Apollo Healthcare Limited. The program aims to develop highly skilled allied healthcare professionals who can assist cardiologists in the diagnosis, monitoring, and management of cardiovascular diseases using advanced diagnostic equipment and clinical techniques. Through a strong foundation in medical sciences and hands-on clinical learning, students are prepared to meet the growing demand for skilled cardiovascular technologists in modern healthcare.
With experienced faculty, advanced laboratories, and a competency-based curriculum, the program provides students with comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, electrocardiography (ECG), echocardiography, cardiac catheterization procedures, cardiac monitoring, vascular diagnostics, and emergency cardiac care. Students gain practical exposure through laboratory training, hospital postings, clinical internships, and research activities that strengthen their technical expertise and patient-care skills.
The academic environment promotes clinical excellence, critical thinking, ethical healthcare practices, interdisciplinary learning, and research, enabling graduates to build successful careers in hospitals, cardiac care centers, diagnostic laboratories, research institutions, and academic organizations.
Programs highlights:
- Training in cardiovascular anatomy-physiology and diagnostics (ECG, TMT, Holter).
- Cath-lab assistance: patient prep, sterility, hemodynamic monitoring and device handling (under supervision).
- Non-invasive imaging exposure and cardiac rehab basics.
- Quality and safety in cardiac care; radiation protection and biomedical ethics.
- Internship across cardiology wards, CCU and cath-lab with case log maintenance.
