Department of Computer Science & Engineering

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 2008. The department has started B.Tech program with an initial intake of 60 in the year 2008, 120 in the year of 2010 and 180 from 2013 onwards. The department has also started M.Tech program in the year 2012 with an intake of 18 and 36 from 2013 onwards.

The Programme was accredited by NBA in the year 2019 under Tier-II. The department has 48 qualified Faculty out of which 5 faculty having Ph.D and 43 having M. Tech. The faculty members actively involve themselves in research activities and published/presented papers in National/International Journals and Conferences.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dr. RVR NRI Institute of Technology Deemed University was established in 2008 with the vision of providing quality education and fostering innovation in the field of computer science and engineering. Since its inception, the department has consistently expanded its academic programs and infrastructure to meet the growing demands of the technology industry.

The department offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs designed to equip students with strong theoretical knowledge, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills. The B.Tech program was introduced in 2008 with an initial intake of 60 students, which was subsequently increased to 120 in 2010 and 180 from 2013 onwards, reflecting the growing demand for computer science education. The M.Tech program was launched in 2012 with an intake of 18 students and expanded to 36 students from 2013 onwards.

With experienced faculty members, modern laboratories, industry-oriented curriculum, and research-focused learning, the department provides students with opportunities to excel in emerging technologies, software development, artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, and other advanced computing domains. Students are encouraged to participate in Inter Institute events, Certification Courses – NPTEL, Coursera, Spoken Tutorial – IIT Bombay etc., and National Level Competitions such as Smart India Hackathon (SIH) and various Project Contests at NIT’s and IIT’s. The department has two Student chapters and many events are being organized in association with these chapters.
