Department of Mechanical Engineering
What Is Mechanical Engineering?
Mechanical Engineering is the branch of engineering that involves the Production and usage of Thermal and Mechanical Energy for the Design, Production, and Operation of Machines and Tools. It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2011 with an intake of 60 students and enhanced to 150 students. A post graduate programme in Thermal Engineering was introduced in the year 2014 with an intake of 24 students.
To acquire the knowledge, the department develops suitable theoretical background studies with high level laboratory, practical training (Workshops & Internship) & skills to meet the demand in the best possible way.
The department has well experienced and dedicated faculty members with many active researchers involved in Research & Development focusing on both traditional and modern fields of mechanical engineering with a continuous presence in research and scientific activities Our dedicated faculty tries to disseminate knowledge amongst the students, the latest
developments in Applied Mechanics & Design, Thermal Engineering, Dynamics & control,
Materials & Manufacturing, Automation & Robotics. Finally, it is to provide our students with a cheerful, productive and satisfying experience at all levels of their programme of studies so that they can explore the amazing world of Mechanical Engineering.
